Bengal Rescues Available

At our cattery, we are the Volunteer Alberta and British Columbia Coordinator
for the Bengal Rescue Network and are also
contact personnel for Bengal Breed Rescue through the Calgary Humane Society and other shelters.
We have taken to task to rescue any Bengal that is in need whether it be due to abandonment, owner surrender, or finding of a lost stray. Often these rescue cats have associated difficulties in behaviour deficits and socialization. We work to rectify issues any particular rescued kitty may have acquired, and return it to optimum health if possible.
The ultimate goal is to find them forever, loving homes so they never find themselves in that kind of situation ever again.

Please note: There is a nominal rescue fee to cover time and expenses.
This fee helps rescue happen and saves lives.

We are always seeking homes and families that can be on standby to help us by fostering any Bengal in need while we tend to its needs and work on finding it a suitable home.

If you can foster a rescued Bengal,
OR IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE ON A WAITING LIST FOR WHEN RESCUE CATS ARE NEEDING A HOME please do not hesitate to contact us and let us know.

JACKSON IS "SAVED" BY THE OWNER'S DAUGHTER AND NO LONGER NEEDING RESCUE
Thank you to all that inquired about him.

Jackson is a 4 year old neutered male who does not get along with other family cats, and was also tried to be re-homed with a family that had a dog.
Jackson needs a home that is all to himself and no other animals.
His owners feel he would be a wonderful companion as he is very loving and wants to be with people.

"Spayed Female in Pincher Creek"

"Spayed Female in Pincher Creek"

This is a very beautiful Bengal that is in rescue in Pincher Creek. She is larger than normal cat size with a long muscular body, golden with black or dark brown spots and gold eyes.
This is a sad case because the owner didn't want her because she was not friendly enough. She does not seek human touch and avoids contact.
This is a dear cat that we feel would come into a relationship if she had the benefit of living with someone who would take their time and show her love and give her a sense of security. She would need to be homed in first a small room and gradually for as long as it takes get to know her new owner and gain trust and learn what it is like to be loved so she can come out of the shell that she was never taught. Socializing is such an important thing, and she is not agressive, so there is great potential for her to be saved and become a very close companion to just the right person.

We notice she loves her canned food and while eating ravishly, there is a great bonding opportunity by the use of tantilizing canned foods.

ANGUS AND ROSIE WILL REMAIN WITH THEIR OWNERS - NO LONGER NEEDING RESCUE

ANGUS AND ROSIE WILL REMAIN WITH THEIR OWNERS - NO LONGER NEEDING RESCUE
Thank you to all that inquired about them.

"Angus"

Angus' owner is distraught with her having to part with her two Bengals that they brought here from the UK, only to find the severity of an allergy has had the family need to find a loving, caring home for the two of them.

Angus must go to a new home together with Rosie (below).

Angus (M) is about 13lb, great markings, very friendly and lovable – he loves to cuddle up on your lap whenever possible. He also likes playing football and having a shower in the mornings – he will mew until you turn it on for him. He is quite ‘dog like’.

I am bigger than Rosie and my back is a darker colour.
I am very laid back and I don’t mind being picked up.
I don’t usually bite or scratch.
I like to eat wet cat food with gravy and dry cat food – in fact I will eat most kinds of cat food.
I am microchipped at the back of my neck and I have had all my vaccinations, including rabies.

ANGUS AND ROSIE WILL REMAIN WITH THEIR OWNERS - NO LONGER NEEDING RESCUE
Thank you to all that inquired about them.

"Rosie"

Rosie (F) is about 8lb, she is very affectionate with those she knows well . She loves to sit on my lap for a cuddle (on her terms of course). She is definitely a cat – very agile and loves to play with the fishing rod toy.
We have a toddler son and Rosie likes to play chase with him (he never catches her of course)
whiles Angus lets our son pet him.

I am smaller than Angus and my back is a lighter colour. I also have some stripes on my shoulders.
I am a bit nervous of people I don’t know and don’t like being picked up. I do like my neck and chin being rubbed however.
I am quite fussy with food and prefer to eat wet cat food with gravy, especially Whiskas rabbit, duck or game.
I am microchipped at the back of my neck and I have had all my vaccinations, including rabies.

REGARDING ANGUS AND ROSIE:

They are both indoor cats and MUST be rehomed together (Rosie is sometimes shy and would not do well on her own we think). They are not declawed and as we do not believe in this would prefer that they go to a home where they will not be declawed. We did train them on the leash when they were younger but they have not been outside for some time (as they wanted to be out all the time…)

As with all Bengals, they are very energetic and love to chase each other around the
house regularly throughout the day.

"Rowan" -
HAS NOW FOUND A HOME :-)

Rowan is a 6 year old female (spayed) who is very loving and needs a lot of attention in a single cat household. She is skitish around children and would be more suitable in an adult environment or one with older children. She has always been treated like the Princess and her owner is broken hearted to part with her due to a young child addition to her family. Rowan was purchased as a purebred, but her owner never did get any papers for this cat. She is an indoor only cat and up to date on her vaccines.
Please contact me for information how to contact Rowan's owner.

"Rose"

Rose is a spayed female at the Nanaimo, BC Shelter who needs a loving home.

"Rose" (In Nanaimo, BC)

HAS NOW FOUND A HOME :-)

Rose is a young female that is very talkkative, friendly and has striking markings, who needs an active family home for her outgoing personality. The shelter has her marked as a Bengal cross, however, she does appear to be a purebred.
Please contact us if you are interested in giving Rose a loving forever home and we will give you contact numbers.

ZOEY
1 year old - spayed female
(Available immediately - in Calgary)

HAS NOW FOUND A HOME :-)

"Zoey"
HAS NOW FOUND A HOME :-)

This approximately one year old female has just been spayed and has arrived here from Calgary Humane Society. She is not scared anymore having beensurrendered by folks who tried to rescue her from owners who could not handle her.
Much of her demise has been a young female going into intense heats and not being spayed to relieve this condition, and we feel she had been severely reprimanded for her behaviour rather than it being taken care of. :-(
Zoey quickly realized that she is now with cat people, and we see no handling difficulties what so ever! She is a darling!
She is a brown spotted tabby and originated (bred) in Mapleridge, BC.
Zoey is here, on hold for her new home and will be included in a large HCM screening.
Anyone knowing the breeder of this cat, please contact us.
Now that we have gotten to know Zoey a bit more, we find her a very affectionate and loving cat who is full of happiness and love of life. She is playful, and enjoys being talked to. She is very sweet.

OWNER ADVISES - TONY HAS BEEN PLACED :-)
Vancouver, B.C.
"Tony"

Tony is a beautiful 1 year old neutered male. He is reported to be up to date on his vaccines, has no behaviour problems and needs a new home. WHY? His parents work too much and he is not happy alone in their apartment. Meaning he talks alot. They love him dearly but know he is not happy alone and needs more room to romp. Tony gets along great with small children. Ideally Tony is looking for a home in a house and well behaved children, and someone that is home more often than not. He is to be an INDOOR cat only, please.

Tony has now been placed.

PAST
RESCUE - In Montreal
Owner is asking for "$100.00 donation to be given directly to your Bengal Rescue"
Will ship (Approx. $86.00 Air Canada Cargo)
Male Purebred Bengal - 7 years old - neutered

RESCUED - NO LONGER AVAILABLE
via the help of the Steri-Animals's organisation - THANK YOU!

Owner reports: Leo's fur is beautiful with golden touch and he his in good health,
but needs k/d prescription diet (hills) hypo-allergenic food. I'm searching for a family that doesn't have any other cats or doesn't consider to add a new one after Leo's arriving. He loves to be around dogs though. I prefer considering family without kids. I ask a donation fee of 100$ to be given directly to your Bengal rescue and they would have to afford the transportation costs but I can bring him to Air Canada Cargo if a family in a different Province is interested.
He got his annual shots lately.
He is very quiet and has his 30 minutes per day of crazyness, playing and running around after his little mouse.
The family I'm searching for would have to accept to keep him in the house cause he has a tendency to run away in liberty.
